This course is aimed to create a space for a dialogue to explore and reflect on the health issues of women in Ireland from historic to modern times. You will learn interesting, and sometimes shocking facts about life before antibiotics. As a group, in a supportive environment, you will discuss women’s mental health and wellbeing; experiences of childbirth, child rearing and sexuality; women’s role in the caring for sick in the past and present days; the latest scandals around smear tests and other issues impacting womanhood. It is up to you how women’s health issues will be addressed into the future.
